Approx 130 x 160 cm Video: 04:30 min 4K 6 first verses of Voluspå, melody and singing: Jazmin Falk More about the work: The work deal with technological invasion of vulnerable mountain nature in Norway. Populating these generated mountain ranges by smart home objects people use to remotely control their second homes. The moving images are made in World Creator and Unreal Engine The soundtrack is the first six verses of the old Norse creation tale Voluspå. Vǫluspá 'Prophecy of the Seeress'; reconstructed Old Norse, is the first and best known poem of the Poetic Edda. It tells the story of the creation of the world and its coming end, related to the audience by a völva addressing Odin. Jazmin Falk has kindly sung it for me, like a lullaby. In front is glazed (with tin and copper) ceramic mountains and some 3D printed buttons. It all rests on a large cushion made in fake leather.
